Visible Monday 3-25-13

My first full-fledged Visible Monday. (I finally managed to have camera and husband available at the same time I remembered I wanted a picture.)

This is a collection of vintage and new, and fairly representative of my "style," if I have one. Casual, with color.  The gilet (sweater vest) is too small but I neglected to send it back for exchange so wear it anyway.  I love Fat Face and wish I lived in the UK so I could shop there easily. Well, that's only one reason I wish I lived in the UK.

Choker, World Market. Medallion thingy, no idea.
Small strands of beads, hand-me-down from my mom.

I found the green bag on somebody else's fashion blog
but don't remember where so I can't link back and say thanks!
Anyway, it was a cold Sunday afternoon but sunny and we were headed out to shop and get a late lunch. So first I stood in a messy corner of the yard and said, "Quick. Take my picture."

And he did.

Details:
Waffle Henley: Eddie Bauer (marked down to $9.99)
Fat Face Army Knitted Gilet (on sale for £45--no longer available, seen on polyvore)
Woven leather belt -- vintage 70s
Nino Bossi Crunch Leather Cross Body Bag ($82) at Amazon
Born Natasha boots ($157)
Life of Pi Collection choker (World Market)
Other necklaces, misc.

Thanks to Patti at Visible Monday for hosting this fun meme!

  1. Found you on Visible Monday and had to come over to see your blog.
I love your outfit for all the little details! The bag is what captured my attention - me who never wears anything green ever now wants it with a surprising ferocity... this is what blog world does to you :-)

    1. Green is my favorite color. I have green eyes, and I love to wear green. And I saw that bad and Had to Have It. I said, "I don't know what I'll ever wear this with, but I WANT." And then it came and I love it to death--and look at everything I have that this bag looks good with and fell out laughing. Seriously? I looked at something green and wondered what I'd wear it with? I am so silly. ;-)

    1. I hoped it would be a little bigger. It's not quite big enough to hold my Kindle case, but if I take the case off it holds my Kindle and other bare necessities. I love it!

  4. Nice to see you here! I absolutely adore Fat Face -- I have a lot of their stuff, both thrifted and bought in the shop -- and had no idea they were UK-only!

    You look great!

    1. I'm going to be in Ireland in the autumn and they are there, too, so not just UK, also in Ireland. I intend to shop there while I have the chance, too!

      Thank you!

  5. ah ha! So there you are. Thanks for commenting kindly on Project Minima. I tried to follow you back to planet pooks and was like, huh? how did she come to see me?! But then I realized you were on Patti's Not Dead Yet. And look at you! You've got a diva pooks blog. How cool is that? Anyway, love the green bag, assorted jewels and stunning background fence that you've placed yourself against. Very nice. Hope you continue your style statements.

p.s. and it would be even nicer if you got rid of the captcha.

    1. Thanks for tracking me down. I have way too many identities but this felt like too odd a thing to do on my regular blog! And thanks for the reminder. Captcha is GONE. Hate that blasted thing!
